Boredom - One Word Prompt

Boredom - One Word Prompt

The word that you have to include in this prompt is "BOREDOM"

BOREDOM

In honor of all the boredom being produced because people can't go outside. As an introverted writer who barely sees the sun or leaves the office, I hear not being able to go outside is dreadful.

Rules - (if you want to call them that)

  • Make the piece shorter than 1000 words.

  • It could be fiction or non-fiction.

Here are some suggestions for you to get going - (or that you can completely ignore)

  1. Be boring in the piece. I'm sure if you try hard enough, you can do it.

  2. Tell a boring story.

  3. Create a story centered around an average daily task, that is boring.

What I would write with this prompt - (that would probably be wrong)

I'd have my piece be ironic as the narrator complains of boredom only to be boring himself.

Listen to the below-average suggestions, ignore them and come up with something slightly better, or tell me about how you brush your teeth every morning.

This prompt is on you to complete. It is not like I am going to check up on you to make sure you did it. I'm sorry. Did you think that was going to happen?

BOREDOM is your one word for today's prompt.

Good luck with your (boring) writing.
